Education and Academic Experience:

Dr. Xianhui Tang was selected for the National High-Level Overseas Talents Program in 2025. She received her B.S. in Applied Chemistry from Anhui Agricultural University in 2011 and her M.S. from the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Soochow University in 2014 (supervised by Prof. Yonggang Yang). She obtained her Ph.D. from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2021 (supervised by Prof. Yong Cui). From 2021 to 2026, she conducted postdoctoral research at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Northwestern University, working under Prof. Yong Cui and Prof. Omar K. Farha, respectively. In 2026, she joined the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Soochow University as a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor. Her research focuses on the design and assembly of metal-organic cages (MOCs) and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), as well as the gas adsorption, catalysis, separation, and novel coordination mechanisms of supramolecular and porous materials. She has published over 30 papers in journals including Nat. Mater., JACS, and Angew. Chem., with more than 10 first-author/co-first-author papers and over 1,200 total citations.


Research Interests:

Design and synthesis of novel MOCs and MOFs, along with studies on their assembly mechanisms and applications, primarily including gas capture, separation, and catalysis.
