报告摘要:

Light as an external stimulus allowsspatiotemporal control over drug release and nanocarrier targeting(phototargeting), and can therefore enhance therapeutic efficacy whiledecreasing side effects. Here I will mainly present a general strategy toachieve phototargeting based on triplet–triplet annihilation upconversion(TTA-UC), which converts visible light to UV light. We designed photoresponsivepolymeric nanoparticles with targeting ligands caged by photocleavable groups.TTA-UC followed by Försterresonance energy transfer (FRET) triggered the removal of the photocleavablegroups and allowed binding of the nanoparticles to tumors with green light LEDirradiation at low irradiance for short periods. The phototargeting can improvethe specific targeting of the nanoparticles to tumors over liver and spleen,minimizing off-targeting effect. The long wavelength and low irradiance areattractive features for the potential clinical application of such systems.


报告人简介:

汪卫平博士1984年生于安徽潜山。2004年于安徽大学化学系获得学士学位;2011年在香港科技大学获化学工程学博士学位,师从Ying Chau教授;2012年至2016年在麻省理工学院DavidH. Koch研究所/哈佛医学院波士顿儿童医院从事博士后研究工作,导师为Robert Langer院士和 Daniel Kohane教授。201611月将入职香港大学李达三博士再生医学研究中心担任助理教授。在Nano Letters, Nano Today, PNAS, JACS, Advanced Materials, Chemistryof Materials等国际期刊发表研究论文及综述近20篇,其中三篇被遴选为封面文章。汪卫平课题组将主要致力于分子自组装、生物材料、可光控纳米药物载体设计以及基因编辑等方面的研究。
