Abstract: The fields of trifluoroalkylation and difluoroalkylation are relatively advanced, whereas the development of monofluoroalkylation is hindered by issues such as the limited activity compatibility of monofluoro reagents and the considerable difficulty in controlling reaction selectivity. This study reports an electrophilic cross-coupling reaction between pyridylsulfonyl monofluoro reagent and aromatic bromides to synthesize various β-fluoro phenethyl alcohols effectively.
